Jim Sky  KH6SKY   BIRO IoA 080622

Many thanks to Jim for this interesting observation.

This is Jim's page on the event
http://radiosky.com/SpecImageIndex080622.html

And the spectrograph file
http://radiosky.com/080622113410.sps

The first spectrum I examined, on a one minute time interval, made me think of Faraday rotation bands :

But looking at the whole event

It becomes clear that they are curved, have variable spacing,  a negative drift rate, and they cannot be Faraday bands.

Could this be an instrumental effect ??
The BIRO IoC spectra for April 28, show similar fine banding :

Also BIRO IoB for April 29, but with wider banding

Modulation lanes have much higher slopes of more than 100 Khz/s
( Imai et al 2002), with a different appearance :

I don't know what it is, the plot thickens !!
